Wednesday

Happy Wednesday, my favourite workout day. Woke up feeling great. Enjoyed 2 pieces of whole wheat toast with butter and jam. Got to the gym at 7am. Stretched for a few minutes and jumped on the treadmill. About 20 minutes in to my 10 km power walk the power went out in the gym. No lights, no music, no heat. I could see well enough to complete my treadmill power walk. Stretched for a few minutes. Worked on glute exercises and ab exercises. Enjoyed a cliff block before starting my full body class with Coach Brandt. I was the only one in class today. This was a great opportunity for Coach to amp things up and really give me a great challenging workout, which he did. Lots of lunges with weights, med ball throws with push ups, roll backs and jumps, lots of rope exercises, rowing machine, bike, over head presses, more push ups etc... This was an awesome workout. I quickly enjoyed another cliff block before starting my next hour with Coach Luke. This workout was amazing as well. We have been working on pistol squats. These squats are quite challenging, we are mastering them using a progression through the squat to the bottom, then a progression back up to the top. Lots of difficult core exercises, balance exercises, cardio and mobility exercises. loved this class.
