Happy Wednesday. I woke up feeling sore today. I saw Kat yesterday afternoon for a 30 minute intense stretch. My IT band and hamstrings were quite tight and sore. After the stretch I felt quite a bit better. My alarm went off at 4:15 am, I stretched for 15 minutes, used the foam roller on my IT band and a baseball for my piriformis muscle too. I had a relaxing morning at got to the gym at 6:45am. I started with a stretch and jumped on the treadmill for a 10km power walk. I stretched for a few minutes and then worked on some core exercises and glute exercises with the band. Next was a challenging full body workout with Coach Brandt. Lots of cardio on the assault bikes and the rower today. Jumping, pushups, dead lifts, planks, squats, lunges and snatches were all incorporated in to this great hour of fun. Coach Luke was next. An hour of strength exercises for legs, glutes, core and balance. I really enjoyed my workout today. Time to enjoy my favourite meal of greek yogurt, chocolate whey protein powder and a handful of granola.
